Low calorie soup that is filling and helps you lose weight

  • 5-6 cups chopped cabbage (1 cabbage)
  • 2½ cups of chopped yellow onions (3 to 4 medium onions)
  • 4 cups of chopped celery (or one bunch)
  • 1 lb. of carrots chopped
  • 1 cup of diced bell peppers (about 2)
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 1 jalapeno chopped
  • 1 lb of lean ground turkey
  • 7 cups of whole canned no sodium added tomatoes
  • 32 oz. of no salt added beef broth
  • 2 quarts of low sodium tomato juice
  • 1 quart of water
  • 1 package of french onion soup/dip mix. I use trader joe's, no msg
  • 2 tsp. of marjoram
  • 4 tsp. of ground black pepper
  • a few dashes of worcestershire sauce
  1. There is really nothing to this. Just chop everything up and throw it in the pot. Cook until all the veggies are tender (about 20-30 minutes). This makes about 3 gallons of soup so the nutrition information is based on that.
